Crime of the Week 5-22-13 Suspicious Death Of A Horse

The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the suspicious death of a horse in the Moeise Lane area near Stevensville, MT.  The horse died of strangulation sometime during the night of May 17, 2013 or early morning hours of May 18, 2013.  The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office is looking for anyone that may have any information about the incident.

Can You ID Me? 5-22-13 Assault

Crime Stoppers and the Missoula Police Department are seeking your help in identifying the individual in the photo.  On May 19, 2013 at approximately 1135 hours, this unidentified female is suspected of walked into the Holiday Gas Station at 605 S. Higgins St.  After a disagreement about store policy, the female walked behind the counter, pushed the store clerk up against the counter and physically punched her with a closed fist.

Can You ID Me? 5-13-13 Credit Card Fraud

Crime Stoppers is seeking your help in identifying three indivicuals suspected of felony credit card fraud that took place in Missoula on May 2, 2013.   Please see photos on this post.  Reference report number:  P130503-015.

The suspects spent approximately $20,000 on two stolen credit cards at 12 stores, primarily purchasing high-end electronics.  An employee at one of the stores observed two individuals who used the cards.  The individuals said they were from Brazil and were buying the items as wedding gifts for their children.  The 3 suspects are described as follows:

  •  One male, Hispanic, dark hair, brown eyes, athletic build, short box beard with mustache – younger, perhaps 20s
  • One male, Hispanic with lighter hair and eyes, approximately 5’7” with a stocky build – older, perhaps 40s
  • One female, Hispanic, long straight black hair, approximately 5’2” -5’3” tall with brown eyes – older, attractive, perhaps 40s

All three spoke English with a Spanish accent and also spoke Spanish. They alternately told folks they were from Brazil and/or Madrid. They appear to be driving a late 2000’s model Honda CRV, dark grey (or similar style vehicle).

Can You ID Me? 4-30-13 Theft

During the early morning hours of April 20, 2013 the above pictured suspects entered that Flying J / Town Pump Truck Plaza at the Wye and took a NAXA brand 15.6 “ LED TV with built in DVD player.  The male and female suspects at the counter distracted the clerk while the third suspect removed the TV.  The suspects left in a white colored SUV or van with plates that began with the number “15”.

Can You ID Me 4-30-13 Burglary

Missoula County detectives are investigating a burglary that took place during the daytime on April 13, 2013.  A female suspect knocked on the door of a residence on Glacier Lilly Crt and when she thought no one was home she entered the house through the garage.  The victim was at home but didn’t answer the door.  When the suspect entered the garage and then a basement level door the victim ran to a neighbor’s house where she called 911. 

The suspect was accompanied by a second female suspect who acted as a lookout. The females may have been driving an older green over tan Ford Explorer similar to th3e one pictured above.  A second vehicle that may have been involved is an older, smaller (80’s) Ford or Toyota standard cab truck that was described as black or dark colored and “beat up.”  This vehicle was driven by a male suspect.

The three suspects involved were described as follows:

Suspect #1:                                                                      

White Male Adult – Late 20’s, light complexion, stocky build, sandy brown hair, jeans–hoodie—ball cap.

 Suspect #2:

White Female Adult – Mid 20’s, short, thin, light complexion, long dark brown hair that was pulled back, black running pants with a strip down the side.                                                                                            

Suspect #3:

White Adult Female, Dirty blond shoulder length hair with blond streaks, Blue short sleeve t-shirt.

Request For Information 4-9-13 Theft

 

Sometime during the week of March 30, 2013 – April 6, 201 a 4’X6’ Fire Danger sign  was stolen from Big Flat Road just west of Obrien Creek Road.  The sign was said to be in great condition and is valued at $500.

Crime of the Week 4-7-13 Hit & Run

Missoula Police Seek Hit and Run Suspect

On Wednesday night, March 6th, 2013 at approximately  9:30PM, Missoula Police officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at Brooks and Reserve. A female driver sustained injuries and was transported to the hospital. The other vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived.

We need your help locating that vehicle. Witnesses described it as an older light-colored Honda or Toyota. This vehicle has a strap or bungee cord holding the trunk closed. There will be new damage to the driver’s side of the car. It was driven by a young female.

Can You ID Me? 2-21-13 Vandalism

Please look at the attached photo. The unidentified male is suspected of damaging several buildings in downtown Missoula. At approximately 2:30am on February 18, 2013, several buildings in the 300 block of North Higgins were spray painted with graffiti. The suspect used yellow/gold spray paint to write the tag “OLD PPL”.   This tag has been seen in other areas of town as well.

Sometime during the evening hours of February 7-8, 2013, this person is suspected of vandalizing several businesses in downtown Missoula by spray-painting graffiti onto the buildings.  This person is described as adult male in his early 20′s, wearing a large baggie jacket with a hood, skinny bleu jeans, grey stocking cap, white sneakers and a shirt with horizontal white strips.   Case number P130208-007l.

Please look at the attached photo. On January 12, 2013, at approximately 2:30pm, an unidentified male and female pictured in the attached photo, purchased a large screen TV at Super Wal-Mart.  Later the same day, the same couple returned it; but had replaced the new TV with an older used model.
